Our client is one of top 25 leading Pharmaceutical companies in the world. They are headquartered in Tokyo Japan and stands on the forefront of healthcare change, turning innovative science into value for patients.
The Challenge
Our Client wanted a site that can provide medical teams across products access to various materials in a cost-effective way. The site would not only provide access to materials, but also give product owners the ability to push relevant content to specific audiences. Prior to the solution being built, this push of content was happening via emails and was not optimum. Because of a lack of a central storage system, the burning question for field medical teams was always “where to go to find something”. SharePoint is generally used across medical teams for content sharing however, because of its look and feel, users are not always comfortable using it. MResult was tasked to design the Site in such a way that
- It does not look like a standard SharePoint Site.
- Has user friendly functionalities for the medical team.
- Every product team member and medical functions member has access to relevant content.
Additionally, it was important that team members had access to approved content only so to avoid content overload. The idea was to show them only what they needed to see and subscribed to, and from a compliance perspective, always ensure that they saw the “Approved” content.
The Solution
MResult built the solution using SharePoint to keep it cost effective and avoid the training cost of the large number of field-based staff. The solution had the following features to ensure that we were able to resolve all the challenges:

Outcome
The entire process of ensuring that relevant and approved content is shared with the medical staff was streamlined. The attractive UI and relevant functionalities have ensured that the usage stays high at about 80% of the users using it every month with more than 40,000 hits. The enhanced features made this project the winner of the FY19 Innovation Award.
